Clothing:

Polar Fleece Top/Jacket, Pants- ideal for NZ conditions

Hat- preferably lined (thinsulate is ideal)

Gloves

Light set of Wet weather gear

Well broken in tramping/hiking boots of good quality & grip

Light Day Pack

Equipment

Binoculars

Spotting Scope (optional, one can be provided)

Soft case for rifle

Shotgun ammunition can be provided at a cost
